FLOODAPALOOZA 08 - PART 2
So heres part two of the recent "Floodapalooza". The heavy Canada Day rainfall resulted in flooding all over the city. All of these videos were shot at the "Sugar Bowl", which is normally dry and has a trail. Fun to use in the winter for tobagganing........and now I guess, watersports? Aaaaah!
Lethbridge-if you dont like the weather, wait 5 minutes!
Heres a video of some mountain-bikers!
I guess this one is like cross-training? I now proudly present, the new Olympic sport.....Bwimming - Biking and swimming!
This guy just wouldnt give up! Check out the tires on the bike - theyre totally shredded! After he hits the water, check out the guy riding the shopping cart down on the other side- he totaly bites it at the end!
OK, and now that youve enjoyed these videos, the ugly reality.....there are sewer accesses under the water and theyre all swimming in sewer backup!!!!!!!!!! NASTY! Im sure the rashes can be treated with a special cream (um, I mean thats what Ive heard right?)

HAPPY CANADA DAY :(
Ah, Canada Day...just the thought of it brings images of celebration, fireworks, and.......unrelenting rain and floods! The day started off pretty nice until a freak thunderstorm started. Streets and intersections became flooded.
This is the intersection where the Crowsnest Trail offramp meets 13 street north. Look closely at the small shrub under the bridge...its actually an 8 foot tree and sitting next to it is a car...completely submerged - seriously!
Video of Stafford Dr N Video of 13 st N
This is the intersection by our house. water got very deep and covered our lawn before subsiding.
A shot of our house from the intersection
