MY EARLY MOTHERS DAY GIFT

Since Justin's been gone Mackenzie has become a huge helper. She is always asking what she can assist me with and has become my go to girl!! Not only is she a great helper, but she always occupies herself in the afternoons so I can have a short nap. The other day, while enjoying an afternoon ciesta, I kept hearing clinking and clanking coming from the kitchen and the fridge opening and closing. Instead of investigating I just layed there and tried to figure out what was going on. 3o mins later she came into my room and told me she had a surprise for me. On my night stand was a glass of water, half a hotdog bun, cheese and breadsticks, a dish of yogart and a can of diet pepsi. It was also decorated with a tiara and a princess dress. After showing me my snack she told me she had another surprise in the kitchen. On the kitchen counter was all the clean dishes from the dishwasher. She managed to unload the entire load and even put 3 dirty dishes in!!! Not only is she such a thoughtful daughter, but she is my best companion!!!!

Kenzie said that she put the tiara and princess dress there so I something pretty to look at!!

NEW RCMP SHIRT FROM DAD!!!

Mackenzie recieved a package in the mail from her daddy the other day and this shirt was one of her presents! She has slept in it every night since she got it and most days refuses to take it off, so I just add a pair of leggings and "woila", as Kenzie puts it, her day outfit as well!!!

She's trying to wink at you daddy!!!

A GOOD DAY FOR WORM PICKING!!

When the rain comes nothing stops our Kenzie from worm hunting!! How she can pick up those disgusting things is beyond me!!!

She insists that these worms will stay alive until daddy comes home to take her fishing!!!

THE BEDROOM DISASTER!!! A MILD CASE OF HOARDING!!!

This is what it looked like before!!! She was having some separation anxiety from ALL her possesions and insisted that they sleep with her. I know it was my fault seeing as we will be moving in the fall and I'm sure she thought all her things were going to stay with the house. Poor thing!!

Most nights she slept with me because she couldn't even get into her bed. The other morning she woke up and found me in the kitchen and said to me "mom, I want to clean my room will you help me"? We spent 2 hours that morning cleaning and organizing her room! Mom's prayers really do work!!!

KENZIE'S 4TH BIRTHDAY

I'm always game for a birthday bash!!! This year Kenzie had a Hawaiian Dance party and it was a hoot!! The girls all showed up in the flowers we made for them with their invitations and they all dressed up in cute flowery dresses and outfits.

My friend Stephanie played What Time is it Mister Wolf with the kids. You needed ear plugs from all the squeals of terrified little girls!

Valentine's Day Run

Im currently enrolled in a 10 mile running clinic at The Running Room. We do our "Long-Slow-Distance" run on Sundays and since that it occurs on Valentines Day this year, they had an interesting idea: all persons that were able to show up for the run this day were asked to "wear red if they were taken and in a relationship" or "wear pink if you were looking and available".

Since I dont own too many red clothing items, my "crafty" wife Karla, decorated one of my toques for me! It was a great day for a 10k, and I swear that Im sure the hearts on my hat made me run faster :)
