I'M DREAMING OF A NEW SNOW BLOWER..I MEAN WHITE CHRISTMAS

I heard on the radio today, that for the first time since 1961,
all provinces in Canada will experience
a White Christmas at the same time!
'Kenzie and I posing after shoveling the sidewalks.

Now, imagine that the shovel is actually a hockey stick! Hey, I can dream can't I? And besides, "Leleux" is a great hockey name!

I JUST FLEW IN FROM THE NORTH POLE...AND ARE MY ARMS TIRED!

'Kenzie, Karla, and I made a local trip to one of the
local malls (or as Mackenzie would call it -"Sunday-Monday")
to visit Santa. She was thrilled to get her photo with the Jolly One.

"GENE" WHO?

Recently at another location of Future Shop (yes, I know - I seem to have a theme building), I had the opportunity to meet Gene Simmons from KISS. Mr. Simmons was kind enough to autograph a piece of memorabilia for me as well as pose for a picture. On an interesting note, after receiving my autograph and photo op, I attempted to walk away - when Gene grabbed my wrist and said "Hey, why don't you have a cookie?". Apparently he thought I "needed" a cookie and offered me one of the cookies supplied to him as a refreshment by Future Shop.

Nice pic, great autograph......but I thought he'd be taller! j/k

LANNY MCDONALD

I had a chance to meet an NHL hockey legend this past weekend.
At Future Shop's grand opening, Lanny McDonald
(Calgary Flames, Colorado Rockies, Toronto Maple Leafs)
was on site signing autographs. I was fortunate enough
to get him to autograph a puck and card,
as well as get my picture taken with him.

TURKEY TIME!!

We had our Thanksgiving supper on Sunday with Grandma Marilyn, Auntie Amber, Jordan and Auntie Jessa. We had turkey with all the trimmings and stuffed ourselves so full, that there was lots of pie left over!!

Sequence is a major part of the holidays!!! I think Amber and I kicked Jordan's and Jessa's BUTT!!

Mackenzie is so lucky to have wonderful Auntie's and cousins!!!

And I'm even MORE lucky to have her!!!

NOT AFRAID OF HEIGHTS

Mackenzie was a great helper while Justin and I painted the house!! She insisted on being up on the ladder with me while I did the windows. She is fearless!!!

EVOLUTION OF A HOUSE

So, we finally got the house painted. I was looking back at some pictures that Doug and Bernice took when we bought the house, and its changed...just a little. - J

This is what the house looked like when we bought it.
I think there is a house back there!

This is after Doug "Scissorhands" King performed a small landscaping miracle. Minus one tree and extensive pruning.

Minus a large evergreen tree and large hedge; removed the brick and added new roof.

And the "now" picture. Refinished/repainted the siding. Thanks to everyone (you know who you are) who helped with the ongoing project!

NURSERY

I was asked to fill in for a couple of our nursery leaders in my ward. It's been really fun and has given me a new respect for this calling. Kenzie loves nursery and all her friends!!

Kenzie playing with her best friend Haylee.

BRACELETS, NECKLACES AND BEADS!!!

Can you imagine being woken up in the middle of the night and asked to find the "purple" bracelet? This has been my life for the last year. But when you get pictures like this one you know that it's all worth it!! She sorts them dall day long, wears them up and down her arms and puts on all her necklaces at one time. Mackenzie Marie is and always will be my little princess and she can have as many jewels (from the dollar store) as she wants!!!

SWEEEEEET!

I recently noticed an ad in the paper for a "FREE 80s Arcade game. Not working". I was fortunate to be the lucky recipient of a 1980 Atari CENTIPEDE arcade game! The game was given to me by the children of an arcade owner. The game is in excellent condition for a 28 year old video game. The game requires light cosmetic work, new fuse, and a new rollerball. In the near future, I will restore the game and bring it into the basement. Thanks to Mike for helping me to pick it up and Jim for unloading it!! They are welcome at my personal future arcade anytime!

Nothin' but old school graphics. ATARI baby!

You can only imagine how thrilled my wife, Karla, was for my new acquisition.......um yeah....thrilled wasn't the exact word she used. Shes calmed down now, life is good!

BACKYARD SPAGHETTI PARTY

The weather was so fantastic this past week that it called for a celebration!!! I guess I'm just like my mom, any reason for a party is a good thing!! Emily and her family, Dino and his children, and our very own auntie big bug, joined us for dinner in the backyard. We all had a great time eating and visiting. At the end of the night, Steph and Emily stayed and played a game of three's with me. Now that was a great way to end the evening!!!

Mackenzie and Erin were huge fans of the Spaghetti. Even after dinner was over, they continued to eat it right off the buffet table.

Oh and take it to the slide to eat more!!!

These two kept us laughing all night!!!

BLING!!!

Mackenzie never goes far without her necklaces and braclets.

This is after pulling all of the wipes out of the package!! Busy busy girl!!

A NEW "BIG" GIRL BED!!!

We figured it was time for Mackenzie to have a big girl bed, so Justin started looking on line and he found us a great deal for a twin set including frame and matress pad for $125. Kenzie was more than pleased and spent the rest of the day reading books and playing with her toys on her new bed.

When it was time to go to bed we said prayers, which is really great because she can reach now, and then snuggled under the covers.

She finally drifted off into dreamland...

I took this picture 20 mins later!!! Before I went to bed that night, I found her on the floor in the corner crying because she had no idea where she was. Poor little thing!! She only did it once and now she's a pro!! She's growing up too fast!!

BATMAN'S BIRTHDAY!!

Is it to late to throw a Batman party for a "old man"?? Never!!!! Can you believe I even pulled off the surprise!! Rob, Stephanie, Jess, Michael, Cindy and Haylee were waiting in the backyard and I asked Justin to go and take the meat off the bbq and SURPRISE!!! We had a wonderful time visting, eating and sitting by the fire. Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating with us!!!

Some of our guests

I guess the jokes on me now!!!

Why take small bites, it's a party!!!

I even had "grown up" loot bags. The reese peanut butter cup was in the shape of a bat!!

Kenzie and her bestfriend Haylee.

It's a love-hate relationship. Every few minutes, someone has to give the other a hug for being mean. This time it was Kenzie's turn.

You can't have a Batman party without bat burgers, mini penguin wings and Gotham's famous potato skins.

Do you think Rob is enjoying the wings???

Justin recieved some very thoughtful gifts. Thanks!!!

A BIG BIRTHDAY KISS FOR DAD-O!!!!

Playing some harmless toss the football...

...until Michael landed a winner right in the @#$!!**#!!

It was such a nice evening!!

MACKENZIE'S FIRST OFFICIAL HAIR CUT

I figured it was time to take Kenzie in for a real hair cut instead of the usual "bang" cut she gets. What a treat, she absolutely loved it!!! She sat so still and did every thing the hairdresser asked her to do. The salon itself was fantastic!! They have cute things for the kids to sit on and have tv's right in front of them to keep them focussed. Kenzie got to pick what she wanted to watch and picked the pink jeep to sit in. She was so serious while the girl was cutting her hair, it was totally halarious!!!

The girl was so impressed how still she sat. I love how serious she looks here!!!

They also have a ball pit for the kids to play in. They host parties there and I'm really considering having Kenzie's 3rd birthday here. They do up-do's, manicures and makeup for the girls and I think it would be a hoot!!!

After she put a little pony tail in she asked Kenzie if she wanted some glitter in her hair. Auntie Jessa came with us and she bought Kenzie her own nail polish for being so good!!!
