KENZIE IS 5!!!!!!!

I can hardly believe that Mackenzie is 5!!! It is such a magical age because I can see her changing right before my eyes. When she was talking to papa on the phone she told him that now she is five her teeth will fall out and the toothfairy will come and mom and dad are going to teach her to drive!! She is an amazing big sister and I couldn't have asked for a better helper and companion. She has an endless imagination, gorgeous smile and halarious personality. She can't wait to start school in the fall and just get going with life!! We love our GEM to pieces!!!
Kenzie request was a McDonalds birthday lunch!

Nice to have dad off for the special day!!!

Love this age when they are sooo happy just to have a french fry to suck on!!

One of Kenzie's favorite things is fried wontons, "crispies" as she calls them, so I surprised her with some homemade ones!!.

Our only birthday guest was Shannon!!! We just adore her!!!

This year Mackenzie got to decorate her cake anyway she wanted. I only frosted it and she did the rest! What a great job!!

There was 2 things Kenzie wanted for her big day a beautiful necklace and a scooter.

Well Sydney liked the cake!!

Taking it for a test run!

We love this girl soooooooo much!!!!

THE KINGS COME FOR A VISIT!!

We were so lucky to have Jared and family come and see us this past weekend!! It's always so nice to get these little cousins together and have a blast! We also got to meet sweet baby Olie for the first time! It was a short visit, but we still managed to pack in loads of fun!! We took the kids to an indoor play centre called Captin Kids and let them play their guts out!
 The two babies together!!

 Sweet baby!!

Mackenzie is so lucky to have amazing cousins!!

 LuLu!!!

 These slides are crazy!!

This one is called the Lava slide and it is STRAIGHT down!! Cudos to Andi for taking the kids down!!

I thought this picture was so cute seeing as these two are going through the teeth stages!!

Korean BBQ for dinner!!! Yummy!!!

ODDS AND ENDS!!

One of the perks of living in the lower mainland is the endless things to do!! While Jess was visiting we went into Vancouver to see Shannon and walk the sidewalks of China Town. I didn't get many pictures only becasue I was to busy eating steamed BBQ pork buns and being completely fascinated with all the Asian stores. So much to see and do, good thing we live here now so we can go as many times as we want!

If you know Mackenzie's obession with treasures, you could imagine her delight to search out the most perfect treasures!! Not hard when you have auntie Jessa and Cousin Shannon around!!

Little peanut kept nice and toasty warm.

These days Sydney is getting more mobile. She's just starting to get up on her knees and we keep finding her wedged under the couch or in a corner going after all the electrical cords! Guess it's time to baby proof the house!!

She always finds time for a much needed break!!

When you're out, you're out!!

GRANVILLE ISLAND MARKET

We spent the most amazing day at Granville Island Market last saturday with Jessa, Auntie Chris, Uncle Rob and Shannon. It was a beautiful day without one cloud in the sky and everyone and their pony ended up at the market! Even though it was packed with people, you couldn't help but embrace the atmosphere and enjoy the market as you weaved your way through the crowds. We ate fresh  fish&chips, amazing calamari and butter chicken for lunch and got to sample lots of yummy treats from the vendors. It is a food lovers paradise here and we will be making many more trips to the market!!!
Funny faces!

Shannon just moved to Vancouver and we are so excited to be here together! It's nice not to feel so friendless anymore!!

Melt, Melt, Melt!!!

It was great having Auntie Jessa with us for a week!!

Finding some veggies for dinner.

Sea Urchins.

A magician picked Mackenzie out of the crowd to show off some of his magic. It was so fun to watch her!! She was amazed with his simple ball behind the ear and rope tricks and couldn't stop giggling the whole time. After the show I threw 2 bucks in the hat and my aunt Chris put in 5 dollars and he turned to her and said "someone has a good job"!

Watching the show!

Up the sleeve trick.
