EUROPEAN FESTIVAL

 We had the opportunity to finally see Justin on the job!! Him and another Constable were asked to represent Canada at the 2011 European Festival in Burnaby. Mackenzie was absolutely thrilled to see her dad in action! Sydney on the other hand did not recognize him with his uniform on and got pretty freaked out. I don't think she even clued in that it was him the whole time! We had a wonderful time enjoying the different activities, food and entertainment the festival had to offer. The best part though was being with Justin on his first day back to work!!

 Mackenzie has found something that will keep her on her toes and always striving for the top! She tried climbing for the first time and she is a PRO!!! The instructors couldn't believe that she was only 5 and climbed with flip flops on!! She must have climbed 10 times and one attempt all most made it to the top to ring the bell. There is a huge climbing centre in Coquitlum that we are going to have to check out!!!

SUCH A BIG GIRL!!!

 Sydney loves to drink from a big girl cup! She always takes a drink, without spilling, and then gives me these huge smiles! She is soooooooo proud of herself!!

KENZIE'S GROWING UP!

 The other day Kenzie asked me to come down to the front door because she had something to show me. She opened the door for me and said, "do you know what that says?". I looked at her with a huge smile and said "I sure do! and you make me very HAPPY"!! Such a smart girl!

 Kenzie decided she wanted to make pizza one day which totally surprised me because of her aversion to it. After making it, watching it bake and eating the whole thing she told me that she loved pizza now because she got to do it with me! Nice to have quality mommy time!

Kenzie has lately prided herself on keeping her bedroom and bathroom clean. One day Sydney got into her bathroom and pulled out all the stuff from under the sink. Kenzie was not impressed!! After scolding her for making the mess she went directly into her room and shut the door. After about 10 minutes she asked me to come upstairs to see what she had done. She pointed at the bathroom door and said "this means no babies aloud"!!

MAY LONG WEEKEND!!!

You got to love when the long weekend starts with 22 degrees in the sunshine and it's the first day the waterpark gets turned on! The best thing was that nobody knew about it so Kenzie almost had the whole thing to herself!!

 Monday the girls and I went to Vancouver to meet with Shan and go to Stanley Park. Before we went, we walked to Dollarama to get some beach toys. Kenzie ran ahead of us and ducked into the front of this store to pretend she was a mannequin! She thinks she's so hip!!

 She looks more like a rapper here!!! LOL

 Lunch was in the plans before we got to the park too!! We found this awesome burger joint right in the heart of restaurant street heaven!!! It's called Vera's Burger Shack and it was well worth the stop!!!

 The Canuck Burger!!! Seriously, one of the best burgers I've ever had!!!
